2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond

Park Forestry Program

Not only do trees make parks more enjoyable, they are also critical to the health of our environment. Through the Park Forestry Program, we are restoring our City's aging canopy and planting new trees for generations of San Franciscans to enjoy.

Project Planning:

We are currently completing an assessment of the trees in our parks and identifying tree hazards. We will then prioritize our efforts to improve our urban forest. Here is a summary of the urban planning on this program. If you would like to suggest an area that needs attention, please click here to send an email.

*Notice* Public Meeting:  There will be a presentation on the Forestry Program Planning now underway at the October 6th, 2009 meeting of the Parks and Recreation Open Space Advisory Committee (PROSAC)  please check here for meeting information including agenda, exact location and time: http://www.sfgov.org/site/recpark_index.asp?id=2374
